A Wedding and Two Birthdays

2020 is a BIG year for my father. Not only did he and Petra both turn 60 but they also said YES. This is bittersweet as I'm so happy for my dad and his long-time girlfriend Petra as they took a big leap of faith and got married in Pellworm, Germany, on August 8th, 2020. The children and I were supposed to be there to witness the lovely event with their closest family members and friends and congratulate them in person but due to Covid-19, we could not leave the country. So that day, we were with them in spirits and  now enjoy looking at the lovely pictures from that special day. Living far away from family has its upside and downside, and this is definitely one of these moments, where I wished I could have been closer. 

Even though we weren't there in person, I still wanted to share a few pictures from their special day so that I have them saved in my blog.

To be part of the day, I had ordered a wedding cake from a local bakery and designed an engraved cake server for them for their special day as well as sending them some hand painted artwork.

Later in September, they were able to celebrate their 60 birthdays and announce that they got hitched with a larger group of family and friends in Berlin. Unfortunately, we had to miss out on that too but were able to watch some fun videos from that night and indulge in the pictures.
