As mentioned in my last post, we kicked off the first week of summer with lots of fun in the water. On Friday evening, the YMCA invited all their members to a "Troll" themed pool party. There were hot dogs, shaved ice, water games, trolls and lots of laughter.
This boy loves his Daddy and wants to do everything his Daddy does:
Racing on the pillow animals in the water is tougher than it looks. Especially if you are small and fall off of them:

The next morning, we planned on going to a Water Safety Event hosted by our city but ended up checking out the new splash pad in a nearby town instead. This water playground is as fun as it looks:
Since we arrived pretty early in the day, not many people were there yet and the water was still a bit cool.
To warm up afterwards, we stopped by a new park that had a great playground and this fun swing:
And because my children are water babies, we went back to the Y on Monday afternoon for a whole hour of diving for torpedo toys and practicing our swimming. Amelia and Elliot both took swim lessons during the month of May and improved quite a bit. I will post some videos and pictures of their lessons soon. Since the hottest two months are coming up, I'm sure we will spent lots more time in the water this summer. And why not, it is so much fun and refreshing!
