Family Fitness Night

On Thursday evening, Amelia' elementary school hosted their annual Family Fitness Night. After an early dinner, we all went out to join the fun and meet up with some classmates. There were no competitive games; just some good old entertainment for young and old.
While the girls started off with a  game of Bean Bag Toss, the boys practiced their golfing skills:
In between games, the kids just wanted to play on the playground and show off their skills on the monkey bars:
There was also a personal trainer and her truck studio there. So both Elliot and Amelia enjoyed trying out some new training exercises:
Inside, they had set-up cup stacking games as well bowling. At both locations we spent a significant amount of time and bowling was definitely a family favorite.
The next morning, Amelia had Fall picture day at school. Overnight I braided her hair and I can't believe how beautiful it looked with just some hairspray (so jealous).
Posing before school...with the prettiest morning fog in the background:
And this is the attitude my tiny little girl has lately: 6 going on 13.
This weekend, we will pull out the fall decorations and also finish up some errands. Only one more week and the children and I will fly to Europe for 3 weeks. I'm going on a business strip (to Prague, Helsinki and Dortmund) and decided to take both kids so that they can spend time with their grandparents while I'm working. Win-Win! We are all excited to go.
