Even though my little man was sick on his birthday, he still enjoyed being celebrated and opening his gifts. And of course, he loved all the balloons and decorations.
Our Christmas tree turned in to a Birthday tree for a day:
The proud 4 year old:
He is an avid Fireman Sam fan and loved his helmet and helicopter from Oma and Opa Dieter, respectively:
Big sister is his best friend:
We interrupted the celebrations for a visit to the pediatrician's office for an ear infection. Poor Elliot, looks so pathetic here but he wasn't feeling too good:
Luckily a good nap and some medicine helped him perk back up and he actually had a fun afternoon opening more gifts and playing with the new toys. He already had received his big gift, a bike, from us last month.
Time for his birthday wish and a yummy cupcake:
He is such a sweet soul, thanking everyone, even his "sis", for singing Happy Birthday to him:
Toasting to the 4 year old with some kids' champagne:
On Thursday, Elliot felt better and was able to attend preschool for a few hours. I brought in some cupcakes for lunch and his classmates sang Happy Birthday to him.
And afterwards as a special treat and to use his special birthday coupon he received in the mail from Toys R Us, Elliot and I went to the store so that he can choose a small toy. Within minutes, he had chosen a Paw Patrol vehicle to fit in his new Mission Cruiser he received from the grandparents for his birthday.
One happy, 4 year old!
