Sunday Festivities

On our first Sunday in Germany, we were invited to celebrate a 50 year preschool anniversairy and annual church festival at the church, where Elliot´s godmother is the preschool director. First we attended a mass that the preschool children accompanied.

After mass, there was lots of yummy food, cakes, drinks and fun for everyone. Elliot and Amelia decided to get their faces painted. A pretty butterfly for my little butterfly:
And Elliot wanted to be a cat. This is the first time that he wanted his face to be painted. And doesn´t he look adorable as a cat!?!
There was also a bounce house, a big playground, lots of toys, arts and crafts and a magic show. Here, they are crafting a snow globe.
Elliot was fascinated by the magician and his many tricks. Their favorite part was when he took out his stuffed pet rat.

After the festivities, Amelia, Elliot and I drove to my best friend´s house, where we spent the night so that we can all leave together on our little trip to the Baltic Sea the next morning. All three kids were happy to see each other:
