Animals, Blueberry Picking and Caroussels

Yesterday, my mom took the kids and me to a huge farm in nearby Klaistow that not only offers pick your own fruits/ vegetables but also has a free petting zoo and a natural game reserve, a huge adventure playground, some carousels, a restaurant and bakery, and a high rope course. Since we went during the week and before the children in that area had summer vacation, the park was fairly empty. First up was, of course, the petting zoo. Those goats were awfully cute and devoured our carrots.
Since it was just after opening when we arrived, we saw how all the animals got fed. They even had some cute little bunnies:
Elliot cared more about the wooden choo choo train than feeding the animals. He is such a boy!
Then we headed to the natural game reserve where we saw beautiful deer, bucks and fawns and a bunch of wild hogs (which made extremely loud noises during the feeding).
We checked out the high rope course next. Even though they have 3 different courses for all age groups, Elliot and Amelia were still a bit immature to master the kid's course. So, we just looked at it and tried out the swing.

Next up was blueberry picking. The farm offers different vegetables/ fruits to pick throughout the year and summertime is blueberry season in Germany. Big, sun ripened and most delicious blueberries. Luckily, we were allowed to eat as many as we could during picking because this little man ate half a bucket full.
And then we finally made our way to the playground and carousels. Both kids loved riding this carousel and were not happy when we said no more after the 6th time.

But don't worry, there was plenty of other things to do. For example, a huge trampoline, a big playground and a water/ sand feature as well as some slides and a bobby car/ scooter parcours.
Getting wet and dirty:
While Elliot napped in the stroller, Amelia painted this pretty wooden horse.
We spent almost 5 hours at the farm and we will definitely come back. So much to see and do and most of it is either free or fairly inexpensive (such as the carousels and painting the horse).
Klaistow, so worth a trip!
