Lucky Ladd Farms

On one of the hottest Saturdays in October (on record), we and many more Tennesseans decided to go visit a pumpkin farm. We wanted to show Oma all the fun fall activities but were counting on somewhat cooler temps. Unfortunately, that didn't happen, but we still made it work. After some research, we decided to go visit Lucky Ladd Farms, south of Nashville.
We got there right as it opened and we stayed until we all were wet and stinky, approximately 3 hours later.
First up was the Corn Maze. Not only did we find our way back out, we also found some great dried up corn ears to take home as decorations.
Meanwhile, Oma found herself some pumpkins 😊
The best part at this farm was feeding all the different animals. We had to stop by twice as per the children's request.
Goats at the petting area:
Feeding the Snapping Turtles:
There was an educational tractor ride, which we all really enjoyed (except for the heat). The tour is narrated and talks about the wildlife in TN and everywhere they had cutouts of different animals one can see here.
Those little ones are never too exhausted to bounce on an over-sized trampoline or go down the big slide a few times:
We even found ourselves a very obedient horse:
So much to do:
Ready for the Barrel ride:
We even found a big ol' corn and the Harvest Princess:
Because the horse earlier wasn't that much fun, Oma decided to let the kids splurge on a pony ride. Yeehaw!
Annual Farm Picture:
And because it was still around 93F/ 34 C, the splash pad was still open to cool off. What a fun this was!
Here is a little video of all the fun we had:

Next time around, we may go when it actually feels a bit like Fall in the air...but then, we would have missed the bubble/ splash pad.
