Fall break in Chattanooga -Part II

After exploring Ruby Falls inside the mountain, we took the Incline Railway up to the top of Lookout Mountain. This historic cable car is pulled up the mountain for one mile at a steep 73% grade incline. It looks more terrifying than it actually feels riding it up the mountain.
After arriving at 2,100 ft elevation at the top of the mountain, we walked around a bit and enjoyed the view prior to descending again.
The machine room of the Incline Railway:
We discovered a great playground near the hotel, where we stayed till it was dark outside.
And then we put the kids to bed and played cards for a bit:
On Wednesday, it was raining, so we had planned to go that day to the Tennessee Aquarium. We have been there last year and both children loved it, so it was a must-see attraction for us.
We started off with the stingray exhibition:
Next up, Amelia's favorite part, the Butterfly Garden:
Watching the sharks in the big tank:
My favorite to look at- jellyfish:
This sea turtle was only napping- in a very weird position:
Otters!!!
Touching a sturgeon:
Friends with an alligator- look close:
On the river side of the aquarium, divers were feeding the River Giants:
What a fun 3 days it was in Chattanooga. So much to see and do. Glad we were able to show Oma one of our favorites spots in Tennessee.
